ZALORA, Asia’s Online Fashion Destination, hosted its annual ZALORA Style Awards to recognise movers and shakers in the local fashion community and to inspire and support the next generation of talents in Southeast Asia. This year’s edition, held on 10 July 2018 at Capital Zouk Singapore, was co-hosted by local influencers Andrea Chong and Andee Chua, the latter a recipient of the Male Style Star of the Year award last year.

The winners were selected by a judging committee that consisted of renowned members from the fashion industry. At this prestigious event, both long-standing and up-and-coming fashion talents came together to celebrate and encourage the continued growth of the fashion community across Asia. In the spirit of togetherness within the industry, ZALORA partnered with Desigual, Jack Wills, Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch to create a fashion show for all in attendance. The Female Fashion Show, presented by Desigual, was an exciting look into their autumn-winter collections: Arty, Patch and Ethnic, all of which will soon be available on ZALORA. The collections honour the art of being oneself, with designs inspired by nature, new art forms and the fusion of cultures. Desigual’s motto ties in perfectly with ZALORA’s ethos of encouraging individuals to be themselves through fashion. The Male Fashion Show, presented by Jack Wills, Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch, showcased these brands’ new and exciting autumn-winter collections, which are part of the premium menswear assortment already available on ZALORA.

Coincidentally, all collections closely paralleled the theme of the night, Cyber Jungle. This theme was carefully picked to showcase ZALORA’s goal of championing creativity, uniqueness, and self-expression. Cyber takes inspiration from the neon lights and futuristic vibe of Capital Zouk Singapore, referencing the digital era we currently live in, and Jungle is a nod to our co-existence in society, where fashion taste is unique to each individual yet acts as a catalyst that bonds us together.

Wrapping up the evening was the announcement of the Best Dressed winner, Muzakkir Hallif, who won a 2D1N stay for two at M Social Singapore’s Loft Premier Room. Attendees also walked away with goodie bags that included gifts from QUAY Australia, Desigual, Forever New, Cluse, NYX Professional Makeup and Shiseido.
