Following the successful debut of Pomelo’s sustainable line, Purpose in 2018, the brand will launch three new collections this year making it part of Pomelo’s permanent product offering. Every Purpose collection is designed to address a particular sustainability issue, thus adopting a different eco-friendly practice each time. Launched on 3rd April 2019 at POMELOFASHION.COM, Purpose’s upcoming collection brings together the best of sustainability, tech, and design.

Inspired by elements of the sea, the 35-piece collection ranges from flowing bohemian dresses to minimalistic tops, and practical bottoms. Hues of aquamarine, beige, white, and coral, Pantone colour of the year, dominate the collection’s tone. Crafted entirely of organically-sourced fabrics including linen, organic BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) cotton, vegan suede, and natural colour dyes, it aims to reduce the fashion industry’s impact on natural resources.

To round out its sustainable offerings, Pomelo will also provide a free monthly pickup service of clothing donations that customers can access by scanning the QR codes stitched into their Purpose products with the Pomelo app on iOS and Android. Clothes can also be dropped off at collection boxes in Pomelo’s offline stores in Thailand and soon Singapore. All collected clothes are then redistributed to underprivileged partner communities in Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia.
