Inspired by the 50’s classic hit, ‘Nona Zaman Sekarang’ aka the Modern Day Woman composed by Yusuf B, the collection keeps to the traditional essence of the Malay baju kurung featuring styles such as the Kurung Kedah and Kurung Pahang combining it with a fresh outlook.

Rolling out a unique collection compromising of bright and bold colours on the Kurung Kedah and pattern-clashing prints on kurung with slit top details, the ad campaign video features the carefree modern day girl reimagined in a classic era; her style chic & feminine.

Katt Ibrahim x Pickadillybaby - In conjunction with Mother’s Day, Katt Ibrahim is pleased to be collaborating with local kidswear label, Pickadillybaby, to launch an exclusive mother-daughter collection featuring matching outfits in dainty and bold floral motifs available in three colours – pink, yellow and mint.

Katt Ibrahim x Klung.see - While we’re on the topic of going bold for Raya, Katt Ibrahim has also collaborated with Thailand based accessories designer, Klung.see, to produce limited edition handmade earrings . These statement and whimsical earrings are available in 3 colours – white / yellow, orange and turquoise and will be available for purchase online.

But the highlight of this year’s collection, are 4 exclusively custom designed quirky prints. Reflecting the designer’s colourful personality and minimal chic style, the bold prints are translated on to the Kurung Pahang, a loose fitting high collar dress that is both modest and polished.

Design and makeup maestro by day and mom by night, Katt Ibrahim first started out her career as an educator but her passion to create pushed her to jumpstart her career in wedding. With a forte in bridal cosmetics, Katt eventually designed her own bridal and couture pieces that led to the startup of The Wedding Brocade and subsequently her own ready-to-wear line.
